Parking Ticket Appeal

Please read and complete the attached Request for Administrative Hearing Form. Include a copy of your citation. Alternatively, you may fill out the online form.


You may request a hearing from the Town of Davidson in writing through the use of this form. You have 21 days from the date of the violation notice to request an administrative hearing.

To schedule an administrative hearing before a hearing examiner, you must submit a completed Request for Administrative Hearing form within the time frame indicated above.


Hearings will be conducted on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Davidson Town Hall (216 S. Main Street). 

If you plan to be present at your hearing, please indicate which first Tuesdays of the month within the next three months you will be available.

You will receive confirmation of the date and assigned time of your administrative hearing within 72 hours of submitting your request.


Your appearance at the hearing is not mandatory. If you do not appear at your hearing, the hearing examiner will accept your written statement and any other information/documents you submit as testimony in your defense.

Hearing Process

The hearing examiner will review all submitted materials, including information from the parking enforcement officer, to determine if the violation notice was issued in error. The results of the administrative hearing will be mailed to you at the address you provide on the form. Please include your name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, and email address.


If the hearing examiner rules in your favor, the ticket will be voided. If the hearing examiner determines that the violation notice was issued correctly, the penalty amount must be paid within 21 days of the hearing. You will be able to make payment after your hearing.

Final Decision

The Town of Davidson will mail the hearing examiner’s final decision to you at the address you provide on the attached form.
