North Carolina Remains in Phase 3 Town features new signage in support of public health

Get Behind the Mask

On Tuesday, November 10, Governor Roy Cooper announced that North Carolina will remain in Phase 3 and continue implementing safety measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in our state.  Further, Cooper announced that the indoor mass gathering limit would be lowered from 25 people to 10 people. The new Executive Order will remain in effect until at least December 4, 2020.

New Town Signage

Davidson residents will soon notice new banners and signage around town which feature recent health campaigns recommending the following:

  • The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) encourages everyone that “whatever your reason, get behind the mask.”  Reasons may include family, work, travel, love, community, or respect.  Let’s all “get behind the mask” for Davidson!
  •  The Centers for Disease Control is concurrently reminding Americans to #FightFlu by rolling up their sleeves and getting vaccinated.  While symptoms of COVID-19 and the flu do share some commonalities, COVID-19 can cause more serious illnesses in some people, is more easily spread, and is contagious for longer.  Getting vaccinated against the flu will help ease the medical system and allow necessary resources to focus on COVID-19 treatment.  Davidson folks, “mask up, lather up, and sleeve up.”

As we approach the holiday season, be mindful of the guidelines offered by NCDHHS to keep you and your family safe. To view suggestions for Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping, please click here.
