Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management Seeks Public Input

McGuire survey

Duke Energy and officials from Mecklenburg, Iredell, Gaston, Catawba, and Lincoln counties are asking for the public’s assistance in updating local emergency management strategies, specifically the evacuation time estimate (ETE) for the ten mile emergency planning zone (EPZ). Davidson residents living within this proximity of the McGuire Nuclear Station can offer their feedback by completing the survey here

Results from the surveys are provided to the counties surrounding the station for their use in developing detailed evacuation plans as a part of a comprehensive hazard plan.  In addition to surveys, analyses consider weather, population, traffic patterns, seasonal changes, community features, etc…

For questions, contact Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management.
